How are your fees Structured?

We base our fees on the needs of your business. We will charge a base monthly rate to cover the minimum number of hours that will be required to complete the tasks and processes for your company. Then we will establish an agreed-upon hourly rate that will be charged for any tasks that fall outside of these parameters.

Why do you not do year end taxes?

We take pride in and guarantee audit- and tax-ready financials. The time required to complete year-end taxes takes away from our time to complete the monthly tasks required by our clients. Keeping in mind that we do complete sales and payroll tax filings as needed by our clients throughout the year.

What is a "Fractional CFO"?

Not every small business can afford to hire a full-time accountant, much less an experienced CFO who understands the needs of small business.  That is where we come in.  We have the experience needed to help your business grow and you will only have to pay for the hours that you need.  All the upsides of having an experienced CFO without having the high payroll expense to match.

What accounting software do you use?

We are a Quickbooks house and recommend Quickbooks to all our customers.  However, due to our experience with various different accounting software programs, we are proud to offer the ability to adapt to your needs by using the systems already in place with your business.  We at Guidepost seek to bring the greatest value to our customers and saving you money by working with systems already in place is one of the many ways we accomplish that goal.  We only recommend changing software if it is absolutely necessary to accomplish your goals.

Do you do payroll?

Yes. Not only are we able to calculate and process your payroll on your schedule, we will review your payroll to ensure compliance not only with FLSA, but also any other federal, state, and local authorities. Which includes filing the approppriate tax filings as well.

Can you help with sales tax filings?

Yes, not only can we file for your state, but also, multi-state, local sales taxes, and self assesments as needed for your business needs.
